This foot switch was part of a commission
that involved the conversion of an old dentists lamp. We made the foot switch
from steel, it was polished and chromed. It was a particularly difficult
project as inside the switch we had to house the Low Voltage power supply,
a dimmer and a mechanism to activate the rocker switch. There was very little
room, and we had to keep it as small as possible. In the close up picture
on the bottom left you can see the adaptation to the lamp holder, we had
made a special bracket the hold 3 ball jointed fixings which held low voltage
lamp holders. The fixings were semi concealed behind a domed cover plate.
On the right you can see the 3 low voltage lamps in the light fitting, they
could be moved around on the ball jointed fittings for final positioning.
The lamp housing was made from aluminum and was polished.
On the right you can see the final finished project.
